Meet the Team at Magheraknock

1187DCF4BFMy name is Angeline Quinn, I am the Nursery Owner. With all my qualifications and many years experience I dreamt for a long time of opening my own nursery. Together with my husband John we designed, planned and built Safe & Sound Crabtree in 2007. The setting and location of the nursery is idealic, however part of our plan was to create a homely environment with a welcoming atmosphere where parents can feel involved with their child’s care and children’s needs are being met to the very highest standards. My dream soon became a reality and along with myself and my highly trained and motivated staff we have built an outstanding reputation for the quality of our childcare and education. This has been recognised with the highest accolade in the sector, the “All Ireland Centre of Excellence Award”, a mark of the highest standards.

My name is Samantha Adams and I am the Nursery Manager.   I began my career in childcare in 2007 at our Crabtree facility and over the past 16 years I have attended many training courses which have supported me in my role.  Angeline encouraged me to completed my Level 5 in Childcare, Leadership and Management and by doing so I was able to take on the position of Manager.  I am also mum to Charlie, Ollie and Evie and all of them have attended Safe & Sound Nursery.

Hi! My name is Rebecca Stewart. I have a Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development, Paediatric First Aid, Child Protection Training and Diabetes Training. I have been working in Safe & Sound since April 2018 and I am the Baby Room Supervisor. I absolutely love working with this age group and supporting their development through fun activities, stories and messy play! I am also mum to Harper who attends Safe & Sound and is currently in the toddler room.

My name is Pim Dinning and I have worked at Safe & Sound since 2022.  I am based within the toddler room and thoroughly enjoy this age group.  No two days are the same with the 2year old groups and its a joy to watch them grow, learn and develop whilst in my care.  I am hopefully going to further my knowledge by completing my level 3 in child care and development in 2024.

My name is Natalie Grant and I work alongside Ursula in the Pre-School room. At this age the children are beginning to develop their life skills i.e. putting a coat on and it is such a rewarding job watching them become more independent before heading off to school.

My name is Michelle Flanagan and I recently just began my career at Safe & Sound.  I work in all the rooms of the nursery as well as dropping off and collecting the children from school.  Working in all the rooms allows me to develop relationships with all the children and means my day varies which I love. I am currently completing my level 3 at the minute and have attended safeguarding and first aid training.

Hi my name is Leah Grant and I work within the baby room at Safe & Sound Nursery. I have always had an interest in working with children and when I first started and was placed within the baby room I quickly realised that this age group is where I am most suited. Being a mum myself to Isla and Jonah I understand how hard it can be for parents to leave their child at nursery so its nice to be able to relate to any questions or queries they may have.

Hi my name is Elisha Grant and I have worked at Safe & Sound since 2022.  I work alongside Rebecca and Leah in the Baby Room and really enjoy this age group.  Since starting Safe & Sound I have had an active role in planning and observing the children and am always sad to see them move on to the toddler room.

My name is Whitney Browning and I have worked at Safe & Sound since 2021.  I am fully qualified in Level 2 and 3 of children’s care, learning and development and have completed Safeguarding training during my time at Safe & Sound.  I have worked within the Toddler and Pre-School rooms and have seen how much they grow and develop in a year and its lovely to know that we play a small part in their life’s in helping and supporting this.

My name is Jordan Tate and I just recently joined the team here at Safe & Sound. It has been a great learning experience working in all rooms of the nursery and seeing each age and stage of development first hand.  I also have a daughter Amelia who is 6.

My name is Ursula Comer and I am the Deputy Manager and Pre-School Room Supervisor. I have a qualification in Level 8 Early Childhood Care and Education which I obtained in Sligo. I am originally from Galway and have worked at Safe & Sound since September 2019. I really enjoy working in the Pre-School Room and seeing each child’s development and personality grow. Since joining Safe & Sound I have completed courses in Paediatric First Aid, Child Protection and Media Initiative. I have had such a positive experience while working at Safe & Sound and I feel like my confidence has grown thus allowing me to take on the Deputy Manager role which I am very excited about.

My name is Hayley Tubman and I work in the toddler room at Safe & Sound.  I have 3 children aged between 7 and 12.  I am very arty so I love to plan activities that allows the children to become creative and to use their imagination because at this age they are like little sponges that soak everything on offer up. I have completed my Safeguarding training.

My name is Erin McVeigh and I work in all the rooms of the nursery as well as also being a named driver collecting the children from school. From starting Safe & Sound I have completed my Safeguarding training.  I also have two daughters Grace and Paige.

Hi my name is Noelene Coleman and I am the Cook at Safe & Sound Day Nursery.   I have been cooking in France and various local restaurants for almost 15 years, and joined the Safe & Sound team in October 2021.  This is a new setting for me and I’m looking forward to introducing the children to exciting new tastes and healthy, nutritious and wholesome foods.
