My name is Christine Rogan and I am a Manager of Safe & Sound Nursery. I have worked in Safe and Sound since August 2007 and began working in the Baby Room, I have also worked in all areas of the nursery which I thoroughly enjoyed. I am a mum of 3 children, Ryan, Eimear and Erin and they keep me very busy and have given me great insight into child development. During the last 17 years at Safe & Sound I have had the opportunity of qualifying for an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and also a Level 5 in Childcare Leadership. I have attended many courses such as Peadiatric First Aid, Child Protection, Basic Food Hygiene, Autism Awareness and Media Initiative. Safe and Sound is a very welcoming place to work, all the staff work very hard and are dedicated to ensuring that the needs of the children are of paramount importance.
My name is Amanda Lavery and I am acting Pre-School Leader. I have worked at Nursery since October 2007. Whilst starting with no formal child care qualifications, I had the experience of being mum to Caitlin and Ben. Since working at Safe and Sound I have been encouraged to gain valuable qualifications and am now fully qualified. As well as my NVQ I have Peadiatric First Aid, Designated Child Protection Officer, Child Protection, Food Hygiene Level 2, Special Educational Needs training and numerous other valuable courses. I love working at Safe and Sound and am proud to manage such a great team of staff and wonderful children.
My Name is Toni Sharvin and I am the Pre-School Leader at Safe & Sound Nursery. I have been working at Safe & Sound since May 2017 and thoroughly enjoy working with this age group. I am pleased to say that I graduated in July 2020 with a First Class Degree in Early childhood studies. This has strengthened my understanding into how I can assist children’s development through my role as Pre-School Leader. During the last 5 years I have been given the opportunity to develop my professional knowledge by attending various training courses including Makaton level 2, Designated officer, Supporting emotional intelligence training and Special Educational Needs.
My name is Joanne Rogan and I work within the Baby Room. I am currently working on my Level 3 Childcare and Development. I am mum to Alannah and Jamie. It is so rewarding to watch a baby enter Nursery feeling apprehensive and a little afraid and quickly settle into our home from home environment and become part of the Safe & Sound family.
My name is Rachel Hanna. I have been part of the team at Safe & Sound for the past two years and am loving my role as Nursery Assistant within the Prepreschool Room. I am Mum to Conor and Finn, who both attend Nursery and I have recently started my Level 3 in Childcare and Development. Each day brings new challenges and rewards for the children and I love to watch them learn, play and enjoy their day at Nursery.
My name is Allana McCourt and I have worked at Safe & Sound for over a year. I am mum to 4 children ranging in age from 15 to 27 and I have ample experience when it comes to caring for children. I work within the Baby Room and look forward to coming to work each day as I feel confident and part of a strong team which together ensures the happiness of all the children.
My name is Ellie Speers and whilst mainly working with the Toddler/Preschool Room I also help out within the other rooms at Nursery. No two days are the same at Nursery as the plans and management of the days are stimulating, fun and educational for all the children. I find my job very rewarding and love being part of the team.
My name is Amy Rooney and I am Deputy Leader of the Preschool Room. I have recently completed my Level 5 in Childcare and Development, with the help and support of Safe & Sound. I am Mum to Aodhan, who is one and who also attends Nursery. I love my job and the variety of age groups that I work with. I especially love watching the Pre-School children flourish throughout the academic year in preparation for their transition to Primary education in September.
My name is Nuala Magorrian and I work within the Preschool and Afterschool Rooms. I have recently started my Level 3 in Health & Social Care and have ample experience working with children within a Day Care setting. I am mum to Tierna and enjoy being part of the strong team within Safe & Sound.

I am a grandmother and spend my week between looking after my grandchildren and the wonderful children at Nursery.
